We knew Jimmy Fallon logged a Billboard Hot 100 hit, but who knew he could sing like this? Turns out, “David Bowie impression” has been lurking as an underrated part of Jimmy Fallon’s repertoire. He busted it out last night (March 21) in a pre-taped Tonight Show segment.
Along with Chris Martin, Fallon covered David Bowie’s iconic 1971 song “Life On Mars?” But the Coldplay frontman (and more accomplished vocalist) was only there to play piano and lend some moral support. Fallon manned the vocals, and did he ever do his best to match Bowie’s idiosyncratic singing tone. Watch until the end to catch a cameo from Roots guitarist Captain Kirk Douglas.
