For about a generation, rock and roll music had an enchanted yuletide grip on the Christmas song market. Serious artists like David Bowie and John Lennon didn’t feel like they were above writing us a holiday classic, and now we’ve got a lot of great songs to show for it.

Now that radio stations have been in full swing with their Christmas playlists for a while, we thought we’d ask for your take. What is the greatest classic rock Christmas song of all? The heartland rockers like Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen hold up well, but then so do the members of the Beatles, as well as the golden oldies.
