Whattup Billboard? It's 10 p.m. on a Wednesday night (Nov. 11) & I currently have two chores to do: make this playlist & wash a pile of dishes. I thought I would combine the two activities to make my Wednesday night more interesting!

1. Bobby Darin - "Splish Splash"
The water sounds at the beginning of this classic remind me of the water that will soon be flowing over the pile of dishes I have to do. The title track from my album, The Names, has a kind of similar water drop sound in the intro beat. On my record, that sound is the sound of a dog slurping up water that I had recorded on my phone a few years ago. In the past, I have seen dogs clean dishes with their mouths.

2. The Clean - "Tally Ho"
Arguably the cleanest-named band in the history of music. An incredible, timeless piece of music. A good rhythm to scrub along to!

3. Mirah - "Cold Cold Water"
In college, my friend Michael introduced me to this song. Pretty epic! A lot of time when I do the dishes, the water starts out hot but if I have a lot of dishes to clean the water gets cold by the end of the dishwashing session.

4. Apparat feat. Soap&Skin - "Goodbye"
This song played after Gustavo's face blew off at the end of the fourth season of Breaking Bad. One of my favorite parts of doing the dishes is that afterwards the skin of my hands smells like soap.

5. TLC - "No Scrubs"
I have always loved this song. After I finish this playlist I will be saying "yes scrubs" to the dishes I will be doing.

6. The Breeders - "Cannonball"
The hit from an album called Last Splash. I look forward to hearing the last satisfying splash when I finish the dishes tonight because it means I will be able to go to bed.

7. Ellen Allien & Apparat - "Bubbles"
Apparat has two songs you can apply to washing the dishes! Sometimes I apply a bit too much soapy suds to a dish and it gets covered in soap bubbles. Nothing a good blast of water can't wash away! This song has an immaculate beat.

8. Earl Sweatshirt - "Faucet"
I love Earl's voice & this song is dope. You can't do dishes by hand without help from a friendly faucet.

9. Ibeyi - "River"

This is my favorite song on the Ibeyi record -- I have never washed dishes in a river, but I like the image of it in my head.

10. Dishwalla - "Counting Blue Cars (Tell Me Your Thoughts on God)"
The biggest hit from the most popular artist to ever have "dish" in their name.
