Kentucky rockers Cage the Elephant are readying the release of their fourth studio album, Tell Me I’m Pretty. To get us pumped for the Dec. 18 drop, they’ve shared a behind-the-scenes video, featuring footage of the record’s creation.

The band applauds Auerbach for his “incredible knowledge of all sorts of obscure music,” which helped the production of new jams like “Mess Around.” You can hear a little bit of that one in the video; it’s their latest single and currently sits at No. 12 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.

“Working with Dan was the perfect balance to our approach,” the band’s Matt Shultz tells Billboard. “I think we both had similar interests in song writing and vision for the outcome but different starting places… The end result was a highly creative atmosphere that didn't lack challenge.”

Cage the Elephant have been a force on alternative radio for the better part of a decade. They’ve previously sent five songs to the top of Alternative Songs: “In One Ear,” “Back Against the Wall,” “Shake Me Down,” “Come a Little Closer,” and “Cigarette Daydreams.”
