The Flaming Lips played a surprise show at Santa Ana, Calif.’s Observatory club on Sunday night, and Wayne Coyne and company performed a pair of songs from Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz without the titular star for the first time.

According to Yahoo! Music, Coyne simply said Miley Cyrus was “at home” this time around. But hey, the Flaming Lips have been together since 1983, so they’re just fine with the stage to themselves.
