Alabama Shakes frontwoman Brittany Howard dropped a surprise self-titled LP yesterday under a less-expected moniker: Thunderbitch. Just four months after the release of the group's critically acclaimed Sound & Color album, Howard brings hearty rock n' roll on the 10-track Thunderbitch, which is streaming free on their website.

The group includes fellow Nashvillians from bands Fly Golden Eagle and Clear Plastic Masks, and has been playing together at least since 2012, per Nashville Scene.
