Neil Young Fined $10K For Playing Past Curfew

Neil Young is paying the price for playing an encore, after a Detroit-area venue is sticking him with a $10,000 bill for playing past curfew.

Young performed at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Mich., Tuesday night and, according to CBS Detroit, played two songs too many, pushing him over mandatory 11 p.m. curfew and triggering a $1,000-per-minute fine.

His 23-song set closed with an encore of "Don't Be Denied" and "Roll Another Number," so that when he finally walked off the stage it was 11:10 p.m. 

The venue is in close proximity to residential areas and the curfew has been in place since the early 2000's.
