Bruce Springsteen became an honorary Beach Boy on Wednesday night when he made a surprise appearance onstage at Brian Wilson's concert in Holmdel, New Jersey.

Wilson, currently on tour promoting his latest album No Pier Pressure, welcomed Springsteen in the PNC Banks Arts Center. Springsteen stayed off to the side singing backup for "Barbara Ann" but was eventually pulled into the center to sing "Surfin' USA." The "Born to Run" singer strapped on a guitar and the crowd went wild, but he immediately exited the stage as soon as the song was over.

Wilson's U.S. tour ends July 12, but according to an official statement, he had to postpone his U.K. tour due to the success of his biopic Love and Mercy. The tour will be postponed until 2016 to mark the 50th anniversary of his album Pet Sounds. Check out the rest of his U.S. tour dates here
