You didn't think the Libertines were popping up at festivals just for the hell of it, did you?

After signing with Virgin EMI in Dec. 2014, the band has made good on its promise for new music, announcing the forthcoming LP Anthems For Doomed Youth. The very Libertines-y titled album will drop Sept. 4 via the Virgin/EMI label Harvest Records.

Last weekend, the Libertines played an unannounced, surprise set at Glastonbury Festival to rave reviews. The performance included a new song called "Gunga Din," which will appear on Doomed Youth. Watch the band perform it live at Best Kept Secret Festival on June 19 below.

Pete Doherty and company have European dates lined up through the end of summer, but haven't announced any 2015 North American dates yet.
