Rolling Stones 1965

Fifty years ago today (June 6, 1965) The Rolling Stones released a little ditty called "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," boasting one of the most iconic guitar riffs of all time. Oh, and you may have heard, Keith Richards literally wrote it in his sleep. Richards didn't think much of "Satisfaction" when it was first recorded, stating, "It was considered to be a good B-Side or maybe an LP track."

The Stones titled the album containing the track Out of Our Heads, and evidently, that was the place to be, regardless of altered consciousness. The song became the band's first No. 1 hit in the U.S. on the Billboard Hot 100 chart that same year.
