Dave Grohl has been a hustler since day one -- at least going by his youthful fan mail to rock heroes.

The Nirvana and Foo Fighters drummer just shared a fan letter he wrote to Minor Threat/Fugazi frontman Ian Mackaye on Twitter. In the letter, a business-like 14-year-old Grohl asks Mackaye for "some numbers of people to get in touch with" because "it would help," along with an area code-less phone number and the best time to reach him (after school, natch). No word on whether Mackaye responded, but it seems like Grohl did pretty well for himself either way.
