Yesterday (May 12) marked the release of David Duchovny's debut album, a folk-rock set titled Hell or Highwater. Performing last night at New York's Cutting Room, Duchovny stayed on that musical wavelength, covering an old Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young song with X-Files co-star Gillian Anderson.

Duchovny and Anderson handled lead vocal duties on "Helpness," a Neil Young-penned song from the supergroup's 1970 album Déjà vu. The pair also shared a couple kisses onstage:

And of course, there's more than music coming up from Duchovny and Anderson. In 2016 they'll reprise their roles as Mulder and Scully on Fox's reboot of The X-Files, a six-episode "event series" beginning Jan. 25.
