For now, you can watch a trailer for the arcade-style game "LOUD on Planet X."

Do you want to fight aliens as Tegan and Sara or Fucked Up's Damian Abraham? The video game LOUD on Planet X is your ticket, but the Canadian indie rock-themed endeavor needs Kickstarter support to launch this fall.

LOUD on Planet X, a project of the Toronto studio Pop Sandbox, calls itself an "arcade style indie music game" and an "indie alternative to Rock Band or Guitar Hero with a splash of Plants vs. Zombies."

Gamers can play as 12 different artists, including Tegan and Sara, Fucked Up, Lights, Metric, Metz, Austra, and Cadence Weapon. The game features two tracks from each artist, in addition to a 28-level single player campaign, competitive leaderboard, and standard controller or touch screen interface. It's hyped by its creators as "a new hybrid of rhythm game and classic shooter with tower defense elements."
