Watch Brand New Debut Awesome New Song 'Don't Feel Anything' Live
Unless you're a diehard fan of Long Island cult heroes Brand New, you probably have no idea how seriously their fans take the emo/indie rock band. And there's good reason to. For the first time since 2009's Daisy, those fans have new Brand New music to wrap their heads around.
Check out the video below, as Brand New performs a new track called "Don't Feel Anything" live for the first time last night (April 8) at Denver's Filmore Auditorium:
Ever mysterious, the band didn't introduce "Don't Feel Anything" as a new song or even provide its title when they opened their set with it. Fans learned the title from a set list posted by Property of Zack. Frontman Jesse Lacey yells the titular phrase over and over in the chorus, so we're calling it a safe bet.
And about that chorus -- it's faster and more punkish than anything the band has done in recent memory, and the fresh energy gives us plenty of reason to look forward to Brand New's forthcoming fifth studio album, which the band has been working on for some time.

At the Denver show, the band also sold new lyric booklets from its 2006 album The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. This might not seem like a big deal, but since the band promised one to anyone who sent them a dollar in the mail back in 2006 and never came through, this was a very big deal in Brand New circles. Which, once again, are much bigger than you realize unless you're already in them.
