Band of Horses Collaborating With Iron & Wine on Covers Album

Charles Peterson
Ben Bridwell and Sam Beam.

The set includes covers from the Talking Heads, Bonnie Raitt, Sade, Pete Seeger & more.

This week already saw the combination of Franz Ferdinand and Sparks into a new band; now we’ve got another indie rock team-up, this one of a folksier lineage.

Iron & Wine's Sam Beam and Band of Horses' Ben Bridwell are uniting for a joint effort called Sing Into My Mouth. It’s due out this summer (exact date to be announced) and it’s entirely a covers album, featuring takes on the Talking Heads, Bonnie Raitt, Sade and more. So far, no music has been shared.

The set drops on Beam’s Black Cricket label and Bridwell’s label, Brown.
