Alt In Our Stars Podcast: The Early November Can Handle a Reunion

The Alt In Our Stars featuring: Early November
Tracy Allison

The Early November hears its share of "you were one of our favorite bands in high school" and "I met my wife at one of your shows." But that doesn't mean the New Jersey band's existence has slipped into the nostalgia circuit.

The quintet just began to promote its forthcoming fourth LP Imbue, due May 12 on Rise Records. It hits harder than anything they've done in the past, without straying too far from the sound that made kids fall in love with them over ten years ago. After breaking from their 2007-2011 hiatus, they've reunited the right way -- same lineup, new label, great, heartfelt music. They stopped by the Billboard office to chat with Chris Payne for the Alt In Our Stars podcast:

Ace Enders, Joe Marro, and Bill Lugg have plenty of advice other bands can use towards aging gracefully. They also looked back at their past on Drive-Thru Records (ever hear how they discovered New Found Glory?) and how it all connects with the present, via supportive labels like Top Shelf and their own home, Rise.
