Miley? Demi? Avril? Reports Vary for 'X Factor' Judge

Miley Cyrus (left) and Demi Lovato arrive at the UK film premiere of 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' held at the Odeon, Leicester Square on April 23, 2009 in London, England.

The stars are reportedly aligning for "The X Factor."

According to several reports, Simon Cowell's singing competition is eyeing a number of singers to join the sharp-tongued Brit and L.A. Reid on the judge's panel.

E! Online reports Miley Cyrus is being considered for the fourth seat, with Avril Lavigne also reportedly in the running.

However, a Cyrus source reportedly told the site that an offer has yet to be extended.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, another former Disney star may take the seat: Demi Lovato, who's reportedly in final negotiations with the show.

Britney Spears Closing $15 Million 'X Factor' Deal: Report

Whoever takes the spot is expected to join fellow "X Factor" newcomer Britney Spears, who was reportedly near to signing a $15 million deal earlier this month -- though an official announcement has yet to be made.

That will leave the Fox show still short a host after the departure of Season 1's Steve Jones as it gears up for a September return.

Previous judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul exited after its first season, following ratings that fell short of Cowell's "American Idol"-sized predictions.
