Demi Lovato poses onstage for the 2020 E! People's Choice Awards held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California and on broadcast on Sunday, November 15, 2020.

The recently-released trailer for Demi Lovato's eye-opening YouTube Originals docuseries Dancing With the Devil  (March 23) reveals that the singer suffered three strokes and a heart attack after her near-fatal July 2018 overdose.

The singer, who has made a habit of being upfront with her fans, is getting plenty of praise and support from fellow stars who appreciate her honesty and openness.

"Wow.. to know all u've been through & to see firsthand how much love & light u continue to put out into the world everyday, I'm so honored to call u a friend & so blown away & inspired by u Demi. love always," wrote Sam Fischer, who released his duet with Demi, "What Other People Say," earlier this month.

Christina Aguilera also praised Lovato's transparency about her struggles, writing, "The ability to share, stay open, stay loving and show vulnerability is not only a strength of yours Demi, but a gift of an endlessly talented woman I love and respect. Keep shining my love," while JoJo adding, "My girl. I love you!"

Speaking with reporters after unveiling the trailer on Wednesday, Lovato said that the scary experience impacted her health in other ways. "I was left with brain damage and I still deal with the effects of that today," she said. "I don't drive a car because of blind spots in my vision ... I had trouble reading... I dealt with a lot of repercussions. They're still there to remind me what could happen if I ever get into a dark place again. I'm grateful for those reminders."

Lovato took time out on Thursday to also thank Elton John for his support and participation in the doc, after which Sir Elton tweeted, "So proud of you @ddlovato for opening up to the world about your addictions and the importance of our physical, emotional, and mental health Exx."
