Fiance Orlando Bloom made a cameo.
Katy Perry shut it down. There's just no other way to describe how the singer helped tie a bright, shining red, white and blue bow on Wednesday night's (Jan. 20) Celebrating America primetime inauguration special with a stirring, fireworks-laden performance of her signature 2010 hit "Firework."
The singer soared as the skyline of Washington, D.C., was emblazoned with a 4th of July-worthy explosion of color during the affirming, 90-minute, all-star capper to a day that saw Biden sworn-in as the nation's 46th president alongside history-making Vice President Kamala Harris. And Katy looked appropriately regal doing it, rocking an all-white evening gown with matching cape and beaded sleeves.
