Gwen Stefani dropped a tantalizing tease about her long-awaited fifth album on the Today show on Thursday (Jan. 14) when she said it's maybe, possibly just right around the corner. The singer who performed her latest single, "Let Me Reintroduce Myself," on the show and talked about her improbable engagement to Blake Shelton was also asked when we might hear the elusive follow-up to her 2017 solo holiday album You Make It Feel Like Christmas.

“I don’t know, probably soon,” she said. “I have all the songs. I wrote a song yesterday. I’m still writing. I’m going to write a song tomorrow and I’m just going to edit, you know, and get the best of the best. As soon as they say I can put it out. Soon.” Stefani also talked about the fun she had filming the video for "Reintroduce," which was a sprint through her eclectic looks through the years.

“It was surreal,” she told co-host Hoda Kotb. “It made me really think about that I had nobody helping me. Those were outfits that I just made up, you know what I mean, or showed up at my house for free. It’s funny because now they are actually people’s Halloween costumes. And they were not Halloween costumes at the time, that was me actually being me.”

And, no they were not the originals, because she said many of the old ones are on display in Las Vegas as part of her residency and they might "shred" if she tried to put them on these days.
