Miley Cyrus had so much fun covering Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" at Glastonbury Festival last year that she says she's working on a full album of songs from the metal masters. In a chat with designer Rick Owens for Interview Magazine Miley revealed that she was speaking to him from a bed, though not her own.
When Owens asked if there was a story behind that, Cyrus revealed that there was, and it was a good one. "We’ve been working on a Metallica cover album and I’m here working on that," she said, explaining that the COVID-19 pandemic initially had her in a creative funk, but that the Metallica project rebooted the right side of her brain. "We’re so lucky to be able to continue to work on our art during all of this. At first, it felt uninspiring and now I’ve been totally ignited."
