Adele isn't the only one "bloody" excited about what's to come in a week.

The singer's just-announced return to Saturday Night Live next weekend was the talk of the internet Sunday afternoon (Oct. 18), elevating her name to the top of the trending topics list on Twitter. Adele will be hosting the Oct. 24 show, with H.E.R. as the musical guest.

"Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this!! And also absolutely terrified!" Adele wrote on Instagram after the news was revealed.

Her own animated reaction was just one of many on social media, where people speculated about why she's returning to the SNL stage now and buzzed about rumors of a new album.

For what it's worth, Adele last commented on the timeline until when her next album will be released back in August, when she answered a fan's burning question about its status with "I honestly have no idea."

But with no confirmation about a release date to her follow-up to 2015's 25, fans are wondering if her return to the spotlight on SNL means that new music could be coming the same week that Ariana Grande has something in the works.

"Do y'all really think that Adele would leave her 5-year hiatus without public appearances for nothing? On one of the biggest shows in the world? If so, you don't know Adele," one fan account pointed out.
