Kamala Harris psyched up for her debate with Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday night (Oct. 7) by reaching out to her campaign's latest A-list supporter and asking if she could borrow a (virtual) cup of sugar.

After Taylor Swift baked a tray of custom Biden 2020 cookies to announce her endorsement of the Democratic presidential ticket, the California Senator joined her running mate former Vice President Joe Biden in thanking the singer for her support.

"Voting never goes out of style. Thank you so much for your support Taylor," Harris tweeted just hours before she and Pence tangled at an appropriate social distance from behind plastic shields in Salt Lake City for the only v.p. debate of the election. "P.S. Please share your cookie recipe," Harris added.

Harris' response came after Biden reached out to Swift to say he appreciated her first official presidential endorsement. "Taylor — Thanks for your support and for speaking out at this crucial moment in our nation’s history," Biden wrote, before dropping a reference to Swift's hit album opener, "...Ready For It?"

“The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included," Swift told V Magazine in her endorsement announcement.

The singer had previously kept mum on politics, but in her Miss Americana documentary she explained why she had a change of heart in the 2018 midterm elections.
