Do you remember?

Legendary R&B band Earth, Wind & Fire are hosting a "21st of September" party on Monday night (Sept. 21) in honor of their iconic 1978 hit "September," which has been remixed by DJ Eric Kupper. The song, which, of course, opens with the line, "Do you remember the 21st night of September," will be at the center of what the band promises will be a "worldwide celebration" hosted by DJ Spinna and featuring some special guests.

"September" peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1979.  EW&F were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000; received a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy in 2016; and became the first Black group to receive the Kennedy Center Honors in 2019. Singer Maurice White died on Feb. 4, 2016, at age 74. The group postponed their planned joint tour with Santana earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The party begins at 7 p.m. ET; RSVP to join in on the fun on the band's website.
