Mariah Carey performs on day 8 of 2019 Festival D'été Quebec at Plains of Abraham on July 11, 2019 in Quebec City, Canada.

She's a little excited.

In case you hadn't noticed, 2020 is the Year of Mariah Carey. The singer has spent most of 2020 celebrating the 30th anniversary of her self-titled debut album, and in addition to a series of EPs and The Rarities album due out on Oct. 2, she is also prepping her memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey.

On Monday (Sept. 14), she shared a quiet moment that anyone who is preparing to release their first book can relate to: the unboxing. "Quite an emotional moment, seeing The Meaning of Mariah Carey in print for the very first time I'm so proud of it and I can't wait for you to read it," she wrote alongside a video of the reveal.

"This is actually the first time I'm ever seeing my memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, the actual physical book, and so ...," she says before opening the box full of books and inviting the Lambily to join her in a special moment. "There it is," she continues, holding a copy up to the camera to show off the glamour shot on the cover, on which her hair is being blown by an unseen fan.

"I'm showing it to you before I'm looking at it," she says, noting she's keeping her emotions in check so as to not ruin her makeup. "It's incredible. Like, literally, I can't even know what to say." The singer then spends a few minutes flipping pages and showing off the back cover, which features a photo of "little Mariah" at the beach as a child, with her mini self's hair joining in with grown Mariah's mane across the book's spine.

The Meaning of Mariah Carey is out on Sept. 29.
