Selena Gomez and Trevor Daniel experience the trippiest glitch during their faux Instagram Live chat for the "Past Life" music video the pop stars released Tuesday (July 14).

In a previous 30-second Q&A session between Gomez and Daniels, she gushed about loving how his original "Past Life" song told "a story about all the things that we tend to hold on to and the patterns that we have." Those patterns heard in their beautiful vocal medley speak to letting go of one's past, including those they left behind.

But the patterns viewers catch intimate glimpses of in this video are their facial patterns, when Gomez freezes during the IG Live and the camera pans around her face and zooms in on her cheek that transforms into a valley. Each of the singers' pores, chins, eyelashes and other facial features morph into grassy patches, canyons, trees and various terrain of different landscapes, such as beaches, deserts and snowy mountains, exposing the rawness and richness of their present beauty.

"Past Life" serves as the second single from Daniels' debut album, Nicotine, which he released in March.
