Taylor Swift gave one young fan the surprise of her life on Tuesday (May 12) as a thank you for cheering up postal workers amid the global coronavirus pandemic.
Emerson Weber, an 11-year-old Swiftie from Sioux Falls, S.D., has spent the past few weeks of her quarantine writing letters back and forth with mail carriers hard at work delivering mail across the U.S. It all started with Weber writing one letter to thank her own postman, and after it was shared in an internal U.S. Postal Service newsletter, mail began pouring in for the fifth grader, instantly creating a wide network of postal service pen pals around the country.
One of the topics Weber connects with many of her pen pals about is their shared love of Swift's music, and when the news reached the superstar, she decided to send the 11-year-old a parcel of her own.
