The song has a strangely appropriate message about looking for human connection.
Gorillaz returned on Thursday (April 9) with the third track in their Song Machine series, the message is spot-on for this socially-distanced age.
"Aries" features former New Order co-founder/bassist Peter Hook and U.K. pop singer Georgia playing drums on a beat-infused track with lyrics about the search for some human connection in a disconnected world.
"I'm standing on a beach in the distance/ Even though you're far away/ Can you see my red light/ It's waiting to turn green," singer Damon Albarn croons over a classic, bouncing New Order-style bass thump and banging beat. "'Cause I feel so isolated without you/ I can't play a happy tune on my own, so stay by my side/ High or low tide."
