When life gets tough, sometimes it just feels good to dance it out. Luckily, Sub-Radio understands that, and their new song is sure to get you dancing your woes away.
The indie-pop band’s latest single, “Disco,” premieres on Billboard today (Feb. 27), and it’s even more groovy than its title hints. Despite its ’70s-inspired name, the 3-minute track features ‘80s-style synths and a bouncy melody, with carefree lyrics reminiscent of Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance.”
But unlike “Shut Up and Dance,” “Disco” is less about falling for someone on the dance floor and simply about letting loose. As Sub-Radio’s lead singer Adam Bradley puts it, “Life is messy and stupid and very hard — sometimes it feels good to stop taking things seriously and just dance for a minute.”
