In the music videos she's released for her debut solo album Petals For Armor, Hayley Williams has worn a silk cocoon shawl, body-covering floral print spandex, and a headpiece made out of actual flower petals. All these looks would have fit right in last night (Feb. 9), when the Paramore leader took a leap of faith and dove into the world of New York Fashion Week.
"I did not expect to feel comfortable at fashion week," Williams confessed via Twitter. "If I’m honest, I thought I would feel totally out of place." But judging by the photos she shared, performing and walking the runway for the eco-minded brand Collina Strada, Williams found kindred spirits amongst the tie-dye patterns, loose-goosey fits, and kumbaya camaraderie. "I felt completely at home and overjoyed," she continued. "This show was so inspiring/eco-conscious/inclusive."
Williams rocked a baggy top with pale yellow-green hues, paired with an ankle-length red-and-yellow-checkered skirt along Collina Strada's... grassy runway. Joining her in the fun -- and a matching loose-fit hoodie -- was Joey Howard, Paramore's touring bassist and a frequent collaborator on the new solo project.
