Jax Anderson has unveiled the music video for her emotional new single "Heal" on Friday (Nov. 22), exclusively via Billboard.

In the frank, self-directed clip, the rising singer-songwriter -- formerly known as Flint Eastwood -- dances, cries and fakes a heart attack (for dramatic effect, of course) in a nondescript office as text explaining the inspiration behind the powerful track appears on screen.

"Someone tell me when I'm s'posed to heal/ I've been crying for a thousand years/ 'Cause my mind's always runnin'/ I'm tired of always bein' alone," she sings over booming production.

The electro-pop anthem serves as the title track for Anderson's debut EP under her given name, and follows earlier singles "Hard Times," "Fear" and "Scared To Death."

"The Heal EP is based on my process of healing through unlearning," the Detroit-based artist tells Billboard. "I think it's important to question what you believe and why you believe it. These songs are a documentation of what I've unlearned over the last two years, and how I've healed so many open wounds I didn't realize existed in the process."

Heal is out today via Neon Gold. Check out the exclusive premiere of the title video below.
