Billy Joel is schelpping his grand piano to the Queen City.

The Piano Man announced on Wednesday (Nov. 6) that he's playing his first-ever solo stadium gig at the 40,000-capacity Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati on Sept. 11, 2020. The announcement of the show was made by one of the Cincinnati Reds' all-time greats, Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench.

Tickets for the gig go on sale on Nov. 15 at 10:00 a.m. for the singer's first return visit to the city since he played what was then called U.S. Bank Arena in Apr. 2016. "I am a huge Billy Joel fan," Bench said during his announcement according to WLWT. "His iconic songs will play beautifully in our ballpark, giving all of Reds Country the opportunity to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer live."

Joel is still in the midst of his record-setting run at Madison Square Garden, but he has booked a number of other stadium dates through the rest of this year and into the middle of 2020, including an Oct. 12 show at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas and a March 6 gig at Foro Sol in Mexico City. He'll also perform April 18 at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina and on June 20 at Notre Dame Stadium in Notre Dame, Indiana. Joel follows in the footsteps of Beyonc√© and Jay-Z, who played Great American in 2014, as well as Paul McCartney, who played there in 2011 and Luke Bryan, who performed in the park last year.

Meanwhile, MGM Television announced in September that it is teaming with Universal Music Publishing Group to bring the New York singer-songwriter's music to life as a scripted "arc-thology" called Scenes From an Italian Restaurant.
