Selena Gomez Fans & 'Lose You to Love Me' Songwriters Are All Losing Their Minds Over Sel's First Hot 100 No. 1

Selena Gomez takes the lead on the Billboard Hot 100 this week (dated Nov. 9), as "Lose You to Love Me" becomes her first-ever chart-topper.

Songwriters and frequent Gomez collaborators Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter couldn't contain their excitement, as the single marks their second No. 1 song as writers, following Justin Bieber's "Sorry" from 2016.

"OMG IM SOBBING," Michaels posted on her Twitter.

Tranter quote-tweeted the original Billboard article, writing, "To get to make honest music with people I love is already the dream. To have that music go number 1 is full on insanity."
