Sorry, but BeyoncéAdele and Chris Martin do not have a collaboration coming your way. OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder says he was definitely “kidding” when he spoke about the nonexistent three-way partnership at the Global Citizen’s Festival over the weekend in NYC.

It all started when Tedder was asked by Z100 about any secrets the band is keeping. “We have one song featuring Beyoncé and Adele and Chris Martin with the piano solo in the bridge," he said.

But alas, no such song will materialize, as Tedder clarified on his Instagram Stories today (Sept. 30). After showing screenshots that define his three favorite words -- "absurdity," "kidding" and "joke" -- the band leader wrote out the journalist’s question and his response “utilizing ‘sarcasm,’ ‘kidding’ and a ‘joke’ simultaneously” in sequential slides.

Following his “48 hours later:” slide was a screenshot of the headlines piling up about the highly anticipated pop powerhouse collaboration of Beyoncé and Adele. “Come onnnnnnnnn people!!” Tedder teased with the giggling puppy and clapping Snow White GIFs.

He admitted, “All that said- wouldn’t that be a fire collab? I’d stream it.”
