Kelly Clarkson dropped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday (Sept. 9) to dish about her new daytime talk show.

During the interview, the newly-crowned host of The Kelly Clarkson Show and all-around woman of the people told Seth Meyers what it felt like watching her first episode surrounded by so many members of her team.

“It was funny because people from The Voice, the talk show, my label were all kind of doing stuff at the same time,” she said. “So we were all in my hotel room watching it. It was [exciting] but then it’s not ‘cause like, you’re watching yourself and everyone’s watching with you and it’s the worst.”

When asked by Meyers which fellow talk show host had given her the best advice, Kelly claimed everyone had been great.

"You were nice, and Jimmy [Fallon] and Ellen [Degeneres]; everybody’s been really nice,” she said. “And everybody’s told me to just be me, and I’m like, ‘Well, check! That’s easy! Best advice ever; I don’t even have to work at it.’”

While naming Meryl Streep as her dream guest -- besides Seth, of course -- Kelly also revealed that her five-year-old daughter River is already clamoring to be a guest on the show.

“She just started kindergarten,” she said. “And people were talking about their parents, and she was like, ‘Oh my parents? My mom is Kelly Clarkson, my dad’s Brandon. And I’m like, ‘I don’t know if you should say that, you’re gonna hate it in junior high, probably.’”
