(L-R) Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, and AJ McLean of Backstreet Boys attends the 61st Annual Grammy Awards at Staples Center on Feb. 10, 2019 in Los Angeles.

An honorary member will join the Backstreet Boys' lineup next week: Steve Aoki.

The pop group and the DJ/producer have revealed they're releasing new music, a song titled "Let It Be Me," on Friday, Sept. 6.

The collaboration was announced Monday night (Aug. 26) on the artists' social media pages, where they shared a poster-worthy photo of all six of them -- Aoki alongside Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, AJ McClean, Nick Carter and Brian Littrell -- and some bandmate banter.

"Introducing the 6th Backstreet Boy," the group wrote on Instagram. Aoki commented on the post that he's "honored. "Can’t wait to drop this," he added.

On his own Instagram page, Aoki, who had hinted at a potential collab last year, teased the news as well: "Can I be the 6th member?"
