It was confirmed today (July 23) that Boris Johnson will be the UK's next Prime Minister. Johnson earned a landslide victory in the Conservative leadership race against Jeremy Hunt; he will officially become the Prime Minister tomorrow.

Theresa May, who repeatedly failed to secure a Brexit deal with the EU, will be stepping down after announcing her resignation in May.

The music world had a lot to say, immediately taking to social media to react to the news. Slow Thai called Johnson a "lesser" version of Trump, while The Charlatans' Tim Burgess seemed upset that his prediction came true.
