Billie Eilish Unveils 'Bad Guy' Remix With Justin Bieber: Listen

After Justin Bieber teased a forthcoming remix on social media on Monday, it was finally revealed that the pop superstar teamed up with Billie Eilish for a new version of her hit single, “Bad Guy.”

Out now, the remix includes a brand-new second verse and scattered ad libs from Bieber. "Gold teeth, my neck, my wrist is froze/ I got more ice than, than the snow/ That guy, don't act like you don't know/ That guy, so critical (skrrt)," Bieber begins his verse. The official audio uploaded to Eilish's YouTube channel features a throwback photo of a young Billie in a dancing costume surrounded by posters of Bieber on her walls.

The hype for the collab began on Monday at noon ET, when Bieber simply tweeted the word “Remix,” and social media sleuths were quick to point out that Finneas O’Connell, Eilish’s older brother and producer/co-writer, liked and retweeted the message. Meanwhile, Eilish took to Instagram Stories on Monday night to shut down rumors of an imminent new album, but teased that she “might have soooomething for you…,” and posted clips from a new visual along with lyrics from “All the Good Girls Go To Hell.”

Eilish has long been an outspoken fan of Bieber's, calling him her "first love" in a Marie Claire interview, and she revealed to Billboard News earlier this year that the pop star had recently DM'd her to discuss working together. The two artists finally met at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April, exchanging a long hug during Ariana Grande's headlining set.

The high-wattage collaboration could present an interesting wrinkle to the Hot 100 reign of Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” which logs its 14th week atop the Hot 100 this week. The song needs two more weeks at No. 1 to tie the all-time record, set by 16-week leader “One Sweet Day” by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men in 1996, and then tied two years ago by the “Despacito” remix from Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Bieber himself. If “Old Town Road” spends three more weeks at No. 1, it would own the Hot 100 record.

“Bad Guy” is featured on Eilish’s debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 albums chart upon its release. The 17-year-old singer-songwriter has yet to top the Hot 100.
