Madonna

It's official: Madonna has claimed her ninth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with her latest release, Madame X. The album, which was released June 14 via Interscope Records, launched with 95,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending June 20, according to Nielsen Music.

Madonna's last No. 1 album before was MDNA in 2012. Before that, it was 2008's Hard Candy. Then Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005), American Life (2003), Music (2000), Like a Prayer (1989), True Blue (1986) and Like a Virgin (1985).

Obviously Madonna is one of the biggest pop icons in the world, so it only makes sense that she's snatched the No. 1 spot nine times throughout her career (so far).

The star has also gone on quite the musical journey. She acts as an artistic chameleon by switching up her look and innovating her sound with every release. There are many different versions of Madonna the world loves -- is it her newest Madame X phase? Or will her classic Like a Virgin album always hold a special place in our hearts?

Take a look at all nine No. 1 Madonna albums below and tell us which one is your favorite.
