Justin Bieber Challenges Tom Cruise to 'Fight in the Octagon'

Justin Bieber is still in the midst of a self-imposed musical break, but it sounds like the singer is ready to branch out to some other professional avenues. There's no easy way to say this: JB has challenged Tom Cruise to a knock-down-drag-out brawl.

The singer called out the famously stunt-loving Mission Impossible star on Sunday night (June 9), writing, "I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you don't take this fight your scared and you will never live it down."

Bieber then asked who would be willing to host such a battle between the 25-year-old pop star and the 56-year-old acting superstar, tagging the president of the UFC, Dana White.

At press time, it did not appear that Cruise had responded, and it was unclear was inspired Bieber to throw down the UFC gauntlet, but plenty of other people had thoughts on the potential grudge match.

"If Tom Cruise is man enough to accept this challenge, McGregor Sports and Entertainment will host the bout. Does Cruise have the sprouts to fight, like he does in the movies? Stay tuned to find out!" wrote MMA legend Conor McGregor.

Director Kevin Smith also weighed in with some very helpful, movie-based suggestions for JB on how to prepare for the fight. "You wanna control Cruise in this match? 1) Don’t fight him on a couch: he can be bouncy. 2) Make sure you’re fighting the actual Tom Cruise, because he’s king of impossible rubber mask reveals," he wrote. "3) If he slides into the Octagon in Wayfarers and undies, go for his parents’ Porsche."

Before the challenge, Bieber, who is currently heating up summer with Ed Sheeran's "I Don't Care," gave fans hope with a tweet on Sunday that promised, "more music coming. Happy Sunday."

Spokespeople for Bieber and Cruise could not be reached for comment at press time.
