Kelly Clarkson received a standing ovation after her show-stopping performance of “Broken & Beautiful” on Wednesday night’s (April 3)Tonight Show. The multifaceted artist also joined host Jimmy Fallon to talk about working on her “dream” project, UglyDolls, and making a bet with fellow The Voice coach, John Legend.

The singer wore her hair in a glamorous updo and rocked an all-black ensemble with gold statement earrings for the performance -- and in classic Clarkson nature, she let her striking voice bring the UglyDolls’ uplifting lead single to life on the minimalist stage. The mother-of-two expertly belted the pop anthem's feel-good lyrics as she emoted resolute confidence while swaying to the thumping beat.

Back on the couch, Clarkson was all smiles while talking about the upcoming animated movie. “It was a dream,” she told Fallon. “Literally my biggest dream from childhood was to be able to not only do the acting voice, but [also] the singing voice.”

When Fallon asked her about “Broken & Beautiful,” Clarkson revealed that once she knew it was written by P!nk, she, of course, had to sing it. “[It] is, first of all, written by one of my favorite artists ever, P!nk, and I was very excited about it,” she said. “I literally didn’t have to hear it, my husband just went, ‘P!nk wrote this song that they want for the movie,’ and I was like: Done.”

When talking about the star-studded soundtrack for the film -- which will be available on April 26 before the movie hits theaters on May 3 -- she also mentioned another favorite track by castmate, Nick Jonas.

“Nick Jonas’ song, ‘The Ugly Truth,’ is so good. I quasi signed on for the film just because I heard that song and I’m not even on it,” she laughed. Fallon then asked about this season’s The Voice, and how the very competitive Clarkson likes to place bets before the winner is announced. Last season, fellow coach Blake Shelton had to call her “queen” after she won -- and now, she wants to propose a bet with new coach Legend, involving his wife, Chrissy Teigen.

“John isn’t aware of this bet yet,” she laughed. “But if I win, Chrissy makes me a meal, and if he wins, they just still invite me over so that I get to eat Chrissy’s food.”
