A tearful Kelly Clarkson performed the final show of her Meaning of Life tour -- in part thanks to a sweet surprise from her husband -- on Saturday (March 30) in Greenville, S.C.

Clarkson was too busy belting the lyrics to her 2015 ballad "Piece by Piece" to notice that her hubby, Brandon Blackstock, was coming in from the side stage and swiftly switching places with her guitar player. But once she looked back and saw him pretending to strum the acoustic, the mother-of-two couldn’t help but shake her head, smile and start tearing up.

“That’s my amazing husband, give it up for Brandon,” Clarkson said after giving Blackstock a kiss as she finished the song.

During her nightly “A Minute & A Glass of Wine” segment, The Voice coach talked about the moment and how sad she felt about wrapping the tour. “I’m so sad. This is our last show. Here’s to literally my favorite tour, totally gonna cry,” she said. “My husband just totally surprised me playing a faux guitar on ‘Piece By Piece’ and I lost my mind in the tent back there. It’s totally fine. Get your crap together.”

The pair have been married since 2013 after meeting at a rehearsal for the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2006. They have two children together, daughter River Rose and son Remington, and Clarkson is also a stepmom to his two kids from a previous relationship.
