Aly & AJ are back with yet another enticing new single, “Church,” which dropped on Friday morning (March 29).

Aly and AJ Michalka’s introspective new track is a soaring pop song with an undeniable 80s vibe to it, as the duo masterfully harmonize over textured synthesizers while singing about “doing bad things for the sake of good times” only to find that they’re also in search of redemption.

“Too many nights and there's no end, I'm hellbent, the reckless one/ Too many nights I justified, all my casualties of love/ For all the times I can't reverse, for all the places where it hurts/ I need a little church,” Aly & AJ sing on the intoxicating chorus.

The multifaceted sister duo released an EP back in 2017 after taking a long hiatus following their critically acclaimed 2007 album, InsomniaticThe five-track EP, appropriately titled Ten Years, and its lead single “Take Me,” gave fans a first taste of their new 80s-inspired sound. No longer signed to a label, the "Chemicals React" singers hit a few big cities in the summer of 2018 on their Promises Tour.

Now, they’re gearing up to hit the road in support of an upcoming EP for the Sanctuary Tour, which kicks off in May 1 in Normal, Illinois.
