New Kids On The Block Shout Out BTS, One Direction During 'Good Morning America' Appearance: Watch

New Kids On The Block gave boy bands BTS and One Direction a shout-out after performing their latest single “Boys in the Band” on Friday’s (March 8) episode of Good Morning America.

Donnie Wahlberg spoke about what the new dance-pop track -- which is appears on the 30th anniversary edition of their 1988 album Hangin’ Tough -- means to them, explaining how they pay homage to bands fellow boy bands throughout the generations in their lyrics.

“It’s a celebration, we’re celebrating 30 years of hanging tough but the song ‘Boys in the Band,’ in making the song it celebrates boy bands,” Wahlberg said. “We were celebrating ours but then we decided let’s celebrate all boy bands, throughout the generations, New Edition who inspired us, all the way to the new groups of today, BTS, 1D, you name it.”
