Ariana Grande Shares Vulnerable Note Reflecting On Her Last Few Months: 'This Music Saved My Life'

Ariana Grande is doing a lot of soul-searching as she prepares for the kick-off of her Sweetener/Thank U, Next world tour, and she's penned a note straight from the heart that addresses how "healing" her music has been for her at the end of such a tumultuous period.

After sharing a clip of her singing "The Sweetest Sounds" from Cinderella on Friday (March 1), she posted a typical selfie complete with cartoonish filter and goofy facial expression, but with a lengthy letter thanking her fans for their support.

"i just want to say how grateful i am for my life, for the people in it, for the ups and challenges, for the laughter and the pain, for this music and for the lifelong friendships i’ve made thru making it (that includes my friendship with y’all)," she writes on Instagram.

"a few months ago i told my team i wasn’t even in an okay enough place to tour or work at all and my friends," she continues. "you guys and this music really saved my life and turned everything around. i’m still healing but i feel a lot lighter as of late and i think this is really going to be such a beautiful time. thank god we are doing this."
