Welcome back to Takeover Tuesday, where each week, Billboard taps chart-topping artists and tastemakers to compile their very own playlist exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. We give the artists free rein to base the list on whatever subject they choose. The only rule? Make it as creative and unique to them as possible.

Canadian progressive pop group Marianas Trench are heading out on their latest headlining tour next month in support of their forthcoming album, Phantoms, arriving Friday (March 1). First hitting their home country for the month of March, the guys will be playing around the United States in May and the first part of June.

When Marianas Trench is not on the road, guitarist Matt Webb loves hosting dinner parties for his friends in and outside of his band. No dinner party is complete without some proper jams, but even despite his musical savvy, sometimes Webb finds himself struggling to put a playlist together.

"Being a musician, I always feel a certain pressure to play unique, cool music -- music that will inspire a good conversation or kick off a kitchen dance party," Webb tells Billboard in a statement. "I want my guests to hear something new or unusual, something that they’ll playlist the second they get home. I rolled the dice on the following tunes this weekend, and I’m happy to say they were the soundtrack to one hell of a good evening."

Webb aptly (and hilariously) titled his Takeover Tuesday playlist "Songs to Play When I’m Cooking Dinner for My Hip Friends," which features current hits from chart-toppers like Panic at the Disco ("High Hopes"), The 1975 ("Tootimetootimetootime") and Sam Smith ("Dancing With a Stranger"). He also shouted out some indie tunes by Donovan Woods, Restless Modern and Ralph, as well as more timeless artists such as The Beach Boys and Frank Ocean.

Of course, there's also a track from Phantoms, an impassioned jam titled "Only The Lonely Survive." Pre-order Marianas Trench's new album here, invite your friends over and press play on Webb's dinner party playlist below.
