Danish pop-soul band Lukas Graham paid a visit to The Late Late Show for a stripped-down performance of their charming single “Love Someone,” on Thursday night (Feb. 14).

On a lavender-hued, minimalist stage, lead vocalist Lukas Forchhammer, drummer Mark Falgren and bassist Magnus Larsson performed the heartfelt lead single off of their 2018 album, 3 (the Purple Album). “'Cause when you love someone, you open up your heart/ When you love someone, you make room/ If you love someone, and you're not afraid to lose 'em/ You probably never loved someone like I do,” Forchhammer belted on the chorus.

In an interview with Billboard last November, the singer-songwriter talked about what he wants listeners to take away from the piercing ballad. “I want people to feel empowered by the fear of losing ... that because you're so afraid of losing, you're gonna win," he said. "You're gonna do everything you can to win. Take fear and put it behind you."
