Producer Felix Cartal and singer/songwriter LIGHTS have teamed up for the sweeter-than-chocolate "Love Me," out Thursday (Feb. 14).

The track blends LIGHTS' crystalline vocals with Cartal’s dancefloor sensibilities, resulting in a collaboration that would fit neatly in any heart-shaped box of candy. “I'm tryna stay cool/ In the downtown weather/ Wondering if you think of me ever/ You know how to love me better/ It's got me feeling another level,” LIGHTS croons on the infectious pre-chorus.

The track is produced entirely by Cartal, who came up with the instrumental, while fellow Canadian LIGHTS wrote the initial lyrics. The pair then refined the song together, with LIGHTS tracking the vocals on her own.

“Felix sent me his working track shortly after we met at a JUNOs party, and pretty much within the hour I went to my studio and smashed out the verses,” LIGHTS tells Billboard. “Probably close to the fastest I’ve ever come up with something I’m proud of. The chorus and rest of the track evolved since then, but in music, you really crave the moments when things come easily, and this was one of them.”

"The thing that made this collaboration so special is that we're literally the only two people involved in this song,” Cartal adds in a release. “It's just us two creating every single piece of this song. A true collab. I love how it turned out."
