Ariana Grande has become quite a sampling queen, most recently offering up a brilliant reimagination of Rodgers & Hammerstein's "My Favorite Things" in "7 Rings." With the release of her new album thank u, next today (Feb. 8), Grande now has '90s babies going crazy over her latest sample: *NSYNC's "It Makes Me Ill."
Grande incorporates the boy band's song -- a deep cut but fan favorite from their biggest album, 2000's No Strings Attached -- in a track titled "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored." The tune quotes some lines from "It Makes Me Ill" in the bridge, then adds an Ari twist, tweaking the lyrics from "You can say I'm crazy, if you want to/ That's true, I'm crazy 'bout you" to "You can call me crazy cuz I want you/ And I never even never fuckin met you."
