Just weeks after Alec Benjamin recruited Alessia Cara for a remix of his breakout hit "Let Me Down Slowly," the rising singer-songwriter delivered the official video for the collaboration today (Feb. 6).

The video brings out the song's raw vulnerability, flashing through tender moments between various couples in bedrooms, backseats and in public places. Benjamin and Cara narrate the story singing from separate empty rooms, providing a heartwrenching contrast to the passionate kisses shared by the lovers around them.

"We really wanted to keep the overall vision simple but also capture the themes of the song through various relationships," Benjamin told Complex of the video, also admitting that the filming process was freezing.

The latest "Let Me Down Slowly" video focuses more on relationships than the original video for Benjamin's single, which chronicles a couple's struggle to pay their bills and the lengths someone will go for love. Nevertheless, each video makes it evident that "Let Me Down Slowly" is a song that'll hit you in the feels.
